Course Objective

The main objective of the class is to provide the student with all the knowledge and skills to become a Cisco Certified Firewall Specialist.

Cisco security certifications focus on the growing need for knowledgeable network professionals who can implement complete security solutions. Cisco Firewall Specialists focus on securing network access using Cisco IOS Software and Cisco PIX Firewall Technologies. Cisco Firewall Specialist is one of the stepping-stones to achieving the Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), a certification that recognizes an advanced knowledge of networking security principles and practices.

Cisco Firewall Specialists: The Network Security program consists of two classes that can be only taken on a 16-week schedule. The classes must be taken in order.

Target Audience

Those desiring to continue their post-CCNA preparation for a career as a network administrator, network engineer, or network security engineer. CCNA certified individuals pursuing CCSP or CCIE certifications.
