Prerequisites
The successful completion of this course requires the following:- Reading Age Level (RAL) of 13
- Successful completion of CCNA 1
- Prior experience with computer hardware and command line computer interfaces
- Background in computer programming
Course Description
CCNA 2: Router and Routing Fundamentals is the second of four CCNA courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation. CCNA 2 focuses on initial router configuration, Cisco IOS Software management, routing protocol configuration, TCP/IP, and access control lists (ACLs). Students will develop skills on how to configure a router, manager Cisco IOS Software, configure routing protocol on routers, and set the access list to control the access to routers.Course Outcomes
CCNA 2 is a necessary step toward achieving CCNA certification. Upon completion of CCNA 2, students have an understanding of routers and routing including:- Router user interfaces, components and configurations
- Basics of IOS versions, naming and software backup
- TCP/IP Protocol Suite and IP addressing and subnetting
- Interior routing protocols--RIP, IGRP
- Access control lists
Certification Alignment
The curriculum is aligned with the Cisco Internet Learning Solution Group (ILSG) INTRO and ICND courses. After CCNA 2 students should be prepared to take the INTRO 640-821 exam.Additional Information contact:
