The Geology / Geography Department at MCC-Maple Woods is dedicated to providing our students with the resources and tools to enhance their learning experiences. We offer hands on experiences with maps, rocks, and minerals, use the latest technologies with video and computer programs, and support student learning with the Math/Science Resource Room. Our efforts are designed to allow students to succeed regardless if they decide to continue on to a Bachelors Degree or go directly into the workplace.

We offer a mixture of classes and programs to meet a student’s general education requirements or a student’s desire to pursue a career in Geology or Geography. We offer transfer programs in Geology, Geography, and Environmental Studies and a certificate/degree in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
