A+ Transition Workshop (MW)
Find out how to activate and use your A+ benefits while attending MCC-Maple Woods. You will also learn how to transfer to a four-year institution. Learn the details of getting and keeping you?re A+ funds and earning scholarships to pay for the four-year school as well. No A+ question will go unanswered!

Campus Experience (MW)
Discover MCC-Maple Woods and experience campus life as you tour the campus and visit with admission professionals. You will learn about financial aid, programs available, and discuss what steps you will need to take to become a student!

Education Day (MW)
Learn more about the Maple Woods Education program and the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. Meet our Education Program Coordinator and learn the benefits of a career in education, how our degree transfers seamlessly to area four-year education schools, and meet with current students in the program. Fun activities, a Campus Experience, and great information make this day a must for any future teachers!

Math & Science Career Exploration (MW)
Learn more about the Maple Woods math and science career programs designed to transfer to Missouri University of Science & Technology, University of Missouri Kansas City, MIZZOU, and other key four-year institutions. Students will learn about the amazing career opportunities in the fields of engineering and physics, environmental studies and biology, chemistry and healthcare. You will engage in class demonstrations and speak with faculty.

Monarch Day (MW)
Monarch Days are career/interest specific campus experiences geared around Education, Math, Physics/Engineering, Biology/Environmental Studies, Theatre, Art, Music, Business, and Veterinary Technology. On your Monarch Day, you will not only visit with admissions and tour the campus, but you will also sit in on a class in your interest area and meet the faculty of that department (some classes have an optional 1 1/2 hour lab directly following). This is a great way to get in-depth information about these specific interest areas while becoming familiar with campus.
Attendees should report to the Info Desk when they arrive.

Northland High School Battle of the Bands (MW)
Are you in a band? Do you know someone in a band? Then come compete for the title and hear other local high school bands battle for cash prizes at the Northland High School Battle of the Bands. The audience will vote to select the winner so join the fun and hear some great music! Competition is open to all genres. Bands - remember to bring out all of your fans to vote! MCC programs and services will have booths so you can collect campus information while enjoying the great music. The event is open to the public and free.
