MCC-Longivew Community Education has partnered with Freedom Calls Foundation in New York to provide free video conference calls over a satellite network for www.freedomcalls.org communications between military service members deployed in Irag and local family members in the Kansas City region. These noncredit online classes offer flexibility and convenience. Classes run for six weeks, and consist of 12 lessons.

 

 

Divorce Education/FOCIS

FOCIS (Focus On Children In Separation) is an educational program mandated by the Jackson County Court for divorcing parents and their minor children, ages 5-17 years. Topics include how to communicate constructively, minimize conflict, and recognize the "games" of divorce.

The Monthly Class Schedule:

  • First Monday & Wednesday of each month (two 2-hour sessions).
  • Second Saturday of each month (one 4-hour session).
  • Third Tuesday & Thursday of each month (two 2-hour sessions).

Fee: $46 per adult, includes children
