Son of two educators: mother (Eleanor Grubb) was in the Fort Osage School District for 11 years as an elementary counselor; and father (Merlyn Grubb) retired as principal of Spring Branch Elementary after 24 years in the Independence School District. My wife (Lori Grubb) has a BS in Nursing from Avila College and works as a Registered Nurse at North Kansas City Hospital. She is active in volunteer work with the Junior Service League, the Independence School District, and Christ United Methodist Church.
