How long does it take to qualify for Cisco certifications?
Qualification can be obtained in stages based on your time, drive and desire. The first level of certification,
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) courses must be taken in sequence. The next level, CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
classes can be taken in any order.
The certification program is ideal for someone who wants to work and prepare for their networking career by attend college part-time. An average student will be ready for the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) exam in 32 weeks (two semesters). In another 32 weeks you can prepare for the more advanced CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification. The two classes that prepare you for the (CCFS) Cisco Certified Firewall Specialist credential take another 32 weeks. The security classes can be taken at the same time as the CCNP courses.
