What is a Deductive Argument?
- Strongest form of Argument
- Term applies to the form of the argument, not the truth or falsity of the premises/conclusion
- The truth of the premises guarantees the truth of the conclusion.
Example:
If Capital Punishment does deter further crime, then it is justified as a form of punishment. Capital Punishment does in fact deter crime. Therefore, it is justified as punishment.
