Lisa C. Boggess
M.A. Professional Development Specialist
Lisa received her undergraduate degree and teaching certifications while at Illinois Wesleyan University, and holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from National-Louis University. Ms. Boggess is certified in Psychological Assessment, and has completed graduate work in Early Childhood Education. With more than 14 years of experience working with children and youth, her roles have included classroom teacher, private instructor, music director for children and adults, youth program director, counselor, healthy living consultant for children and adults, team-building facilitator, and published writer for a national camp curriculum. Ms. Boggess has led early childhood technology and professional development trainings, and worked directly with quality rating system assessors. She is a certified coach in the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), trained in the Program Administration Scale (PAS), and has worked extensively with the Early Childhood Work Environment Survey (ECWES). Currently, Ms. Boggess is a Professional Development Specialist with the Francis Institute for Child and Youth Development. She provides on-site coaching, training, and technical assistance to local early childhood programs in the Kansas City area. She is a national speaker for both live and online trainings. Ms. Boggess is passionate about brain research and shares her belief that the experiences, interactions, and environment we provide to children influence their brain development and social-emotional growth, thus affecting their success in life.
M.Ed. Business Marketing & Professional Development Specialist
Annette received her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and is seeking a Master in Early Childhood Administration from Champlain College. Annette has worked over twenty-five years in the field of education and business. Her educational experience includes special needs infant/toddler teacher, center director, NAEYC accreditation specialist, adjunct faculty at Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley, and technical assistance professional. She has worked as a private bilingual consultant, coach and trainer in the Kansas City area for various microenterprises and organizations, and has trained nationally and internationally on leadership and entrepreneurial topics for diverse populations. Annette has experience working in various advertising and marketing departments and is currently the Marketing Specialist for the Francis Institute. In this role she promotes the various programs of the Francis Institute, including Francis Institute’s curricula: Strength Based Coaching® and Developing Your Family Child Care Business™ and their derivatives. Her vision is to provide the best opportunities for training and supporting early childhood practitioners to improve their intentionality and practice so children can develop to their fullest potential.
M. Ed. Professional Development Specialist
Rose is a bilingual professional development specialist, holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Integrating the Arts into Curriculum. Her Baccalaureate of Science degree combines both the fields of Psychology and Social Work. Previous positions held range from Teacher Aid to Director of Child Care Facilities. She maintains an ongoing career as a Professional Development Specialist, Instructor and Resource Specialist in the Early Childhood field. Her list of specializations includes offering Child Development Associate (CDA) training to Spanish participants. In addition, Rose has served on the Missouri Accreditation, Mid-America AEYC, Missouri AEYC, and Foster Grandparent boards. Her commitment to extending quality care to children has led her to receive extensive training in curriculum (Creative Curriculum and Highscope) as well as Denver Developmental Screening Tests (Denver III). She is a CDA Council Representative and CDA advisor as well as an NAEYC validating authority, NAFCC Observer, and Command Spanish Instructor.
