MCC-Longview
Thank you for your interest in Longview!
We take great pride in the quality of education and training our students receive. Their credits transfer easily to four-year colleges in this region, as well as to major colleges and universities throughout the nation. How do our students fare when they transfer? They perform as well as—in many cases, even better than—students who start at these four-year institutions. Those who choose to seek employment after completing their education at Longview also enjoy successful careers in their chosen fields.
As an MCC-Longview student, you’ll receive an abundance of quality support services from people who are dedicated to your success. You’ll make friends at MCC-Longview—not only with other students, but also with supportive and caring faculty and staff. We recognize that many positive experiences will—and should—occur outside the classroom. So, we also provide a wide range of student activities to help you pursue your special interests and develop skills to prepare you for the future.
In 2001, MCC-Longview was the first community college in the nation to be named a TIME magazine/ The Princeton Review “College of the Year.” MCC-Longview received this honor in recognition of its innovative Writing Across the Curriculum program that gives our students an edge by developing their writing skills in all disciplines. MCC-Longview is also one of a handful of community colleges nationwide to have been designated as a New Media Center for creative use of technology in teaching and learning.
I think you will find that MCC-Longview can provide you with a rich and exciting range of opportunities and services. A quality educational experience that is both affordable and comfortable is at your fingertips.
