Prerequisite: MATH 40 or MATH 40L with a grade of C or better, or satisfactory score on the math placement test.. The study of simplification of complex fractions, solutions to rational equations, solution of linear equations and inequalities with applications, solutions of absolute value equations and inequalities, quadratic functions and equations with applications, ratios and proportions, solutions of linear systems of equations with applications, rational exponents and radicals, introduction to functions and graphs, and graphing linear equations in 2 variables.
