ECED 121 - Issues, Advocacy and Trends (3 credits)
Prerequisites: ECED 101 with a grade of C or higher or concurrent enrollment. This course explores current topics and trends in the early care and education field. Advocacy will be emphasized as it relates to professionalism, children, families and the communities. The course follows the guidelines of Kansas and Missouri Core Competencies for Early Child Care and Education Professionals and the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards.
