Special Facilities

Metropolitan Community College has a number of unique facilities that are open to the public.  These include:

  • BT Fab lab

    In the FabLab, you can conceptualize, design, develop, fabricate, and test almost anything. If you are an artist, engineer, tinkerer, inventor, student, or own a businesses, the FabLab has the tools to make your craft better!

  • PV Carter Art

    The Carter Art Center provides quality arts education to students in midtown Kansas City, preparing them to transfer to baccalaureate institutions. 

  • Fitness Centers

    Give your brain and body a workout at MCC. You'll not only look good, but actually do better in class! Four MCC campuses have access to everything you need to build strength, gain endurance and get buff.

  • Health Science Institute

    MCC's new state-of-the-art Health Science Institute (HSI) is a unique learning facility. True-to-life simulation stations in this 190,000 sq. ft. building takes hands-on learning opportunities, clinical skill practice and patient care teamwork to the next level.

  • MW Sports Training Center

    The MCC-Maple Woods Sports Training Center is a highly functional indoor facility that offers teams, coaches, and players multiple uses.  These uses include individual and team cage/mound rental, entire facility rentals, and multiple membership options. 

  • High Risk Attack Training Center

    By transforming our existing facilities at the MCC-Blue River Public Safety Institute into a high-risk attack and disaster training center, MCC will be able to increase the breadth and depth of training options available to federal law enforcement, local and regional governments, emergency managers and private businesses.

  • LV Cultural Arts Center

    Completed in 2008, the Cultural Arts Center (CAC) provides the City of Lee's Summit and the Kansas City metropolitan area with quality arts programming. The CAC has fostered student and community creativity and innovation since its creation.
