Overview:

We are Upsilon Kappa, the Penn Valley Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges. Our chapter was chartered on May 28, 1969.

Our Mission:

"The Purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence." - Phi Theta Kappa International

Eligibility:

To qualify for membership, students must be enrolled at the Metropolitan Community Colleges, have accumulated at least 12 credit hours, and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. To remain a member in good standing, you must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better. Once you are a member, you are a member for life! Become an active member today and reap the benefits of membership!
