Forwarding MetroMail to a Personal Email Account


Do you have an email account you use more frequently and want to forward your MetroMail messages to your personal account? If so, follow the directions below.

1. From the MCC web site: www.mcckc.edu Click on the brown button at the bottom left of the screen entitled “Metro Mail”.

2. Log on to your Metro Mail Account using your Metro Link User ID and the password for Metro Mail – which is your birthday in YYYYMMDD format.

3. Click on the “Options” button at the top of the screen. It is a square button with a check list on it. It is between the Help button and the Exit button.

4. An Options screen will pop up with tabs across the top. Click on the “Mailbox Management” tab.

5. Mark the circle beside Yes for the question: Forward All New Messages?

6. Type the e-mail address you want your Metro Mail forwarded to in the box entitled: “Forward to”.

7. Scroll down and click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.

(If the save button does not appear on your screen, you may need to reduce your Start Up Bar at the bottom of your screen to see it. Then just move your Start Up Bar back into position.)

8. Close the options screen. Exit the Metro Mail account.

9. You should be good to go!

10. HINT: You might check to see if you did it right by sending your Metro Mail account an e-mail to see if it is forwarded to your regular account. Your Metro Mail address is your User ID @Student.MCCKC.Edu
