Welding
The Technical & Skilled Trade Welding Program is devoted to the development of skills necessary for the regular maintenance of industrial equipment. Our broad-based curriculum offers a diversity of "specialty" welding processes. Training in MIG, TIG, pipe, oxyacetylene gas welding and cutting, plasma cutting and shielded metal arc welding are available.
Course work includes interpretation of welding blueprints, electrical fundamentals, welding metallurgy and American Welding Society (AWS) electrode classifications. Lab activities include the use of modern equipment and techniques currently found in the industrial environment. Our training provides a foundation for the successful candidate to enter the workforce with the necessary skills of the welding trade.
