| The National Safety Council's annual report, Accident Facts, states that individuals in the age group 16-25 are more likely to be involved in highway crashes than individuals in the 26+ age groups. Driver Education provides a student driver the skills and mental attitudes to become the most competent, skillful, responsible driver possible. This serves as a base for parents to continue the instruction and supervision of their young driver in developing the necessary knowledge, skill and attitude needed to become a safe driver. Each two-week session will have both classroom and driving time. There will be 16 hours in the classroom, 6 hours behind the wheel and 10 hours observation in the car with other student drivers. Classroom sessions will be held Monday through Thursday and students will drive multiple times through the week. Student must be 15 years of age at the start of the course and have their driving permit.
